EZ Report ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your experience is safe, secure, and anonymous if you choose. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what choices and rights you have. EZ Report is operated by People Health, a nonprofit focused on technology for social good.
1. What We Collect
- Report Content: The text, files, and metadata you include in your report.
- Optional Contact Info: If you choose to include an email or phone number for replies or escalations.
- Device Data: IP address, browser type, and general geolocation.
- Usage Logs: Timestamps of submission or access, page views, and errors.

2. Why We Collect It
- To deliver, track, and manage reports.
- To support report lookups via case number.
- To enable optional escalation workflows.
- To improve the platform and ensure system stability.
3. Your Choices
- Anonymous by Default: You never have to give your name or email to use EZ Report.
- Escalation Control: If you set an escalation, you choose who gets the follow-up and when.
- Delete or Edit: If you provide an email or phone number, you may receive a secure link to edit or delete your report.
4. Sharing & Disclosure
We only share data:
- With the people or groups you explicitly choose to send your report to.
- With service providers that support hosting, security, or communications (under strict privacy terms).
- As required by law or to prevent harm.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data Retention, AI Use & Security
- Retention: Reports are kept for at least 5 years, or longer depending on user needs or legal requirements.
- AI Processing: EZ Report may use automated tools, including AI, to summarize report content or gather publicly available context on mentioned organizations to improve routing and insight. These tools do not override your privacy or sharing choices.
- Security: Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We monitor for threats and follow industry best practices.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct or update inaccurate data
- Delete your data or request deletion of your report (using your case number or linked contact method where provided)
- Export your data in a portable format where technically feasible
- Object to certain processing where applicable by law
- Complain to a data protection or supervisory authority in your jurisdiction
California residents: Under the CCPA and CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected individuals and relevant supervisory authorities in accordance with applicable law.

EZ Report is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors without guardian consent.
10. International Use
EZ Report is based in the United States. If you access it from another country, your data may be transferred to and stored in the U.S.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy over time. If changes are significant, we will post a notice on the site and update the Last Updated date above. Continued use of EZ Report after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
